Random Sat Prep Questions?

I’ve taken the PSAT three times, studied for the SAT over the summer, and am still continuing to study for the SAT, but I haven’t gotten the score I wanted.
1. Do SAT prep courses work?
=>Does anybody know of a helpful SAT class prep course in the Bay Area of San Francisco?
2. Can people tutor online? Haha.

They work, but it may all depend on your testing company. I took the a class from the company in my area, and it didn’t help much. Maybe my scores were already too high, so other strategies didn’t work. You’ll have to do some research on what’s the best company.
And yes, people can tutor online/take online classes.

SAT prep works – whether it is individual study or tutoring. You are lucky that you are in the SF area. One of the best agencies is up there, called The Buddy System. I tutored for a small part of the company down here in San Diego for a while and they have a great SAT prep system.
As for online tutoring, I don’t know of one specifically, but contact The College Board and sign up for the SAT question of the day and the free sample test.
Most importantly, you MUST get the book, “Up Your Score: The Underground Guide to the SAT”. It is a very easy, very funny read and will help you. I’m certain that if you read it your score will go up.
You CAN make your score go up. ALL of my students increased their scores – by 100 to 350 points! Good luck!
