How Do I Get Free At Home Weight Loss?
The short answer to how do I get free at home weight loss? may be to say, ‘I cut out as much food as I can, for as long as I can. I count my calories and hope to lose weight’ or, ‘I have heard of this really great diet I can try’. The thing is you will already know before you start that whatever weight loss you get, it will be temporary and that is because diets do not work. Your body is not designed for diets and each time you deprive your body of the necessary foods you guarantee that when the weight comes back – and it will – there will be more of it than before you started.
People diet for all sorts of reasons. They want to build up their self esteem. They want to catch the eye of someone special. They want to look good for the wedding or some other special event. They want to get back into their clothes. They want to rekindle the romance in a marriage. They want to get their energy back. They are worried about their health. They just want to look good right now. These are all short term goals and that’s probably because people know they can only expect a short term solution. Chances are you know the weight will be back, but you do not want to be reminded of that before you have lost the weight.
Very few people ever expect to get a permanent weight loss. What most people do expect from a diet, at least when they base it on past experience, is a burst of success, then eventual failure when the weight returns. They just don’t want to think about that right now.
When people want something that truly and deeply matters to them the last thing they want to do is consider the consequences in advance. LA and San Francisco would be villages today if people thought and acted on the eventual consequences of an earthquake. That’s because it stands in the way of their wants and desires.
Consequences are never pleasant to think about, unless we are prepared to act on them. With each diet, we cause a little more damage to our metabolism and we ensure that more weight is bound to follow. We have also learned that the next diet will always be harder to go through than the one before. The body will only take so much, before it fights’s back and it has many weapons at its disposal.
A diet can be two different things.
1.A medical requirement. Such diets vary but they have some things in common, they are almost always permanent and require that you avoid or select specific foods. In other words, they represent a permanent change in lifestyle which, if not adhered to, will cause a risk to health, even a threat to life. Even under those circumstances some people refuse to act against their wants and desires because they are driven by a strong yearning for the banned foods which they cannot resist.
2. The other type of diet has just one purpose, it promises to lose weight, as quickly and painlessly as possible. This appeals to people because it is precisely what they want to hear and to believe. There have been hundreds such diets in the past and we can expect even more in the future because they appeal to our wants and desires. So instead of dwelling on how the diet will affect us in the future, we decide to trust the promise and settle for an inevitable short term result even when the cost of that can be very high. We are only human right?
Stop to think for a moment, about all those diets that have gone before. Think how they can ignite your wants and desires and cause you to believe things you know will prove false, eventually. Look at it realistically; if just one single diet out of all those hundreds of diets finally proves to work, it will become the winning diet and nobody will want or need a diet ever again.
The one thing we can all guarantee about diets is that if that perfect diet, the one that actually works, ever comes along, it will be news around the world within 24 hours. That means you do not have to jump on the next bandwagon. You can sit back and let someone else experiment with futility. You see, in the final analysis, we all know, deep down that diets do not work…Ever! They cannot, because they fly in the face of nature. Your only chance for a permanent, healthy way to lose weight is to not diet at all.
You see, to lose weight permanently you need to do just 4 things:
1.Learn how to adapt your lifestyle to foods your body was designed to eat.
2.Learn how to jumpstart your sluggish metabolism and let your body control your weight as nature intended it to do.
3.Learn how to get back your energy and vitality
4.Learn how to keep your slim body and never have to put the weight back on again.
So what do you expect from an at home weight loss that does not require you to cut down your food intake? Think about it; are these four goals not the ultimate want and desire of everyone? Â Remember; to get a permanent weight loss you do not need to count your calories.
These are not difficult things to do. If you can sustain a diet of low calories for 6 weeks, as I’m sure you have done in the past. Then you can sustain a selective food plan, which lets you eat an unrestricted amount of food for the same period. If you do, you will find that within a few weeks, not only will your weight be reduced you will discover that you no longer experience food cravings.
This is a lifestyle anyone can live with. It means; being slim permanently, not ever feeling hungry and not ever having cravings for the foods you know you should not eat.

Willie Mays Of The San Francisco Giants, Is He The Forgotten Great In All Of This Home Run King Hoopla?
I’m old enough to have been to games where Willie Mays played against the NY Mets, and I’ve seen games with Hank Aaron. Willie Mays was the best baseball player I have ever seen, and a great home run hitter. Is he the forgotten great in this home run hoopla chase?
Home Much Is My Home Worth?
This is a common question that people across the country are asking. From Minneapolis, MN to Miami, FL to San Francisco, CA to Portland, OR and everywhere in between. As a realtor in Madison, WI I am asked this question almost every day.
Some people try to figure out what their home is worth by adding the annual appreciation average of homes in their city. They figure if they paid $200,000 for it 5 years ago and the average appreciation has been 8% over that period than their house is worth $293,865. Is this correct? Maybe.
Others will try to base their house value on what properties in their neighborhood are selling for. They find houses that look similar from the outside and are approximately the same size and base their value on what it sold for. Their neighbors house which was an approximately 2000 square feet ranch sold for $315,000. Figuring their house is about the same size, age, and style- they should get $316,000. After all it is 2 months later! Is this correct? Maybe.
Maybe there is a % to add to the tax assessment. Or an online program to enter all of your homes data and out comes a price.
As it turns out there is no such magic pill. Every thing must be taken into account when figuring out your homes market value.
What are comparable homes in your neighborhood selling for? Are they comparable in size and age only? Do these comparable homes have tile floors and maple cabinets, where you have vinyl and oak? Or do you have gleaming wood floors and an exposed lower level where they do not have these desirable features? Is your house on a cul-de-sac where the comparable homes are situated on busy streets?
Are interest rates higher or lower than they were before? Is it the middle of summer, the beginning of Spring, or the dead of winter. Is your 3 year old home going to be competing with brand new homes? Maybe even in the same subdivision. Has a new company just came to town along with 500 of their employees who need homes or condos in your area. Has the major employer in your area just announced that they are relocating to a different city?
This is just quick example of things that can affect your homes resale value. In order to answer the question “How Much is My Home Worth?”- Consult a realtor.

Barry Bonds and Home Run Number 756
Will Barry Bonds reach the 756 home run mark and eclipse Hammerin’ Hank Aaron? The controversial Barry Bonds certainly is a baseball legend in his own mind, but does he have enough star quality and MLB cache to keep him in the baseball limelight? Is he a has been or someone who should be a has been? The question many people are asking is simply this one— is Barry Bonds washed up? Many people believe it is time for Bonds to hang up his cleats. He has been injury plagued the last couple of seasons and has also been involved in Major League Baseball’s steroid controversy. In the past the slugger has admitted that he’s used steroids and contends that the drugs were administered unwittingly. Despite his use of performance enhancing drugs, there is no question that he has been one of the game’s most productive players.
Barry Bonds is chasing perhaps the greatest mark of them all– the all-time Major League Baseball home run record. Currently Hank Aaron, who has 755, is the one that fans admire. Bonds also trails Babe Ruth, who accumulated 715 dingers.
He will start this season at 708 and will need either one outstanding year or two extremely productive ones to break the record. Many experts believe with the injuries he’s sustained over the past few seasons it will be hard for him to reach the plateau set by Aaron. Another problem with Bonds setting a new lifetime home run mark is that people believe it will not be a true record because the slugger used steroids.
If he does become the most prolific long ball hitter to ever stand at home plate, there will be some contending that he cheated in order to do so. Critics will claim that during some of his most productive seasons he was on steroids and could not have hit that many home runs without “the juice.” It’s not that Bonds didn’t have any ability; he was and still is a gifted athlete. The question is because he whacked at least some of his homers while on steroids will people respect the record the same way they have for Ruth and Aaron. That is the big question.
Bonds will definitely be in the spotlight regardless of what he does this season. As long as he continues to play, the story of him chasing Ruth and then Aaron’s record will be a hot baseball topic this season and possibly next.
The fact that he plays half of his games in San Francisco’s hitter friendly AT&T Park certainly favors Bonds accomplishing this goal. But he also has things working against him. Most pitchers will try to throw around him, not giving Bonds very much at which to swing. As the season wears on, this will affect him both physically and mentally.
Bonds has complained in the past about how many walks he receives and how they take a toll on his legs. Another problem that may prevent Bonds from breaking the home run record is that he’s in the National League and is required to play the field. He has indicated he would like to stay with the San Francisco Giants and will refuse a trade to an American League (AL) team. If he were to go to an AL team, it could prolong his career because he would be able to be a designated hitter and would not be required to play the field.
He has said that San Francisco is his home and he will retire before he’s traded to another team. There is no question that this season he’ll be under scrutiny, and if he doesn’t produce the media will be all over him. Reporters may ask if he is over the hill, unable to go long without steroids, or if he can possibly stay healthy enough to finish his quest for the record.
The fact remains that Barry Bonds is going for the record and baseball fans will certainly be watching to see if he can do it. If he closes in on the mark, there will probably be sellout crowds in stadiums across the United States hoping to catch a home run ball from the remarkable Bonds. He will have many obstacles to overcome if he is going to accomplish this great feat.
One thing is certain it will be interesting to see if he has the stamina to hold on long enough to break the record. If he fails there will be people saying he should have retired at the top of his game and not have come back to try to break the record. Fans of home run fever will be tuning in the watch the saga of Barry Bonds.

Home Equity Loan : Loansmagician
Real estate prices across the country have skyrocketed in the last five or six years. Low interest rates, combined with a lack of trust in the stock market has led to a tremendous inflow of capital into real estate. To put that in perspective, take into account the median household income, which is a little over 44,000,dollar and compare that with the national median home price of 216,000 dollar, a very high multiple. Of course, in many metropolitan areas ( http://www.ixs.net ) where a large fraction of the nation’s population lives, the rise has been even more spectacular. San Francisco has seen the median home price rise from 395,000 dollar in 2000 to 713,000 dollar in early 2005
For those who did not get in at the right time, the situation is lamentable, many others, on the other hand, find themselves sitting on potential gold mines – in many cases they have witnessed the doubling, trebling or even quadrupling of their investments in a matter of a few years. Walking and sleeping on land that has appreciated under your eyes is a satisfying experience, and some people are quite happy to count their chickens without wanting to cash-in on their gains. Others, for whatever reasons want to enjoy their newfound wealth. Home equity loans offer an opportunity to do just that.
The fact that property prices have risen means that more Americans than ever before are eligible for home equity loans. Let me illustrate that by an example – say you bought a home for 300,000 dollar five years ago, putting down 20% (60,000 dollar) at that time. If you have a typical thirty-year fixed mortgage then you have not made a significant dent in the principal (in this case the loan principal is 240,000 dollar) in the first five years. Now suppose, quite realistically in many cases, that the house value has appreciated from 300,000 dollar five years ago to 500,000 dollar today. In this case your equity in the house would have jumped from 60,000 dollar (your down payment) to 260,000 dollar (down payment plus unrealized capital gains). You would be eligible to take a loan against that increased equity. Most institutions are willing to extend home equity credit for upwards of 50% of total equity in the home.
Now that we have established that a rising real estate market has produced many more potential candidates for home equity lines of credit, let us show why this is a financially savvy way of consolidating loans or of securing financing. Whether the reasons are personal, such as Ferrari you have been drooling over, or for your home business, home equity loans are usually the best first option for obtaining liquidity. First, home equity loans take advantage of tax breaks that the federal and state governments give all homeowners – all interest payments made to service the loan are tax exempt.
This advantage alone warrants serious consideration – a family in the 30% federal income tax bracket will stand to save a substantial amount on a typical home equity loan. The implications of the tax advantage are such that many people with no need for additional credit take out home equity loans and invest elsewhere just so they can take advantage of Uncle Sam’s generous handout. Second, home mortgages are handled a little differently from other consumer loans because of two reasons. First, the loan is “secured” by a tangible asset (i.e. the house, comprising of the value of the land and the material with which the house is constructed) and second, there is a huge industry that deals exclusively with home mortgages and home loans, resulting in a fiercely competitive environment. To the consumer, this results in significantly lower interest rates on home loans.
So, let us recap the win-win situation for a home equity line of credit. Rising real estate prices have made more people eligible for bigger loans, in many cases significantly bigger loans than ever before. Relatively low interest rates, thanks to the Fed and a competitive home mortgage industry has kept the cost of borrowing low. And finally federal and state tax breaks on home loans further reduce the cost of borrowing.
If you are thinking of borrowing money and you are a homeowner, be sure to consider a home equity line of credit before pursuing alternative methods of financing.

We Assess the 2010 Olympic Home Rental Market
Take a good look at the Vancouver Olympic home rental market. Many families are willing to take the risk and rent out their homes for the very first time with hopes that there will be a lucrative rental contract to balance the risk. Not since 1986 when the World Exposition focused the attention of the world on our door has there been so much general anticipation of the possibilities. Unlike other homeowners world wide, we Vancouverites are relative neophytes when it comes to handing over the keys to our most prized possession, our homes. As residents in this vibrant, world class city, we take so much for granted. We are constantly reminded of the enthusiasm of strangers for our city and surrounding areas. But what can we as hosts and homeowners realistically expect the world to pay to use our homes for this short Olympic visit?
Vancouver currently holds the honor of having the most expensive real estate in the country. The price of the average home in Vancouver is 42% higher than that of the next most costly market, Calgary, who’s recent housing bubble was built on the oil boom of the last 5 years; 46% higher than Toronto, our truly world class city and the ‘centre of the Canadian commerce engine’; 109% higher than Montreal and fully 131% higher than the Halifax at the heart of the East Coast off-shore oil boom. With real estate markets melting down across America, Vancouver holds relatively firm.
Other world-class real estate markets including New York, London, Paris, San Francisco, Miami would command top dollar to host the world. In fact the 2012 summer Olympics will be hosted by London, currently one of the most costly cities in the world to visit. With their strong British Pound, the housing costs to accommodate the Olympics in 2012 will certainly challenge Olympic organizers. So, do we compare ourselves to recent Olympic hosts of the past decade (Beijing, Turin, Athens, Salt Lake City) or do we stand firm in the confidence that Vancouver is a world-class city and Whistler is a world-class ski destination? Unlike the Olympics of Salt Lake City of 2002, Vancouver did not over build hotels in anticipation of the coming event. In 2002 hotels in Salt Lake City stood 30% vacant up to 6 months prior to the Olympics. Accommodation for Vancouver visitors may still fall under considerable pressure and guests may be willing to pay hotel prices for the privilege of seeing the world compete on our doorstep. As is true in real estate, location, location, location will drive the rental pricing for the Olympics.
With 1.6 million tickets sold for Olympic events, people are coming to Vancouver and VanAccom is willing to help you, the home owner, get a fair price for your property. If you live in the downtown core and are close to Olympic venues, you will hold the best chance for a successful Olympic home rental. You can view the VanAccom services on our website: www.vanaccom.com.

October was Breast Cancer Awareness month. It’s also the time of year my family and I enjoy supporting a cause that’s very near and dear to our hearts.
Incredible and unbelievable as it may seem, we tragically lost my mom to breast cancer ten years ago. My three year old daughter got me all choked up recently because we were clarifying who daddy’s daddy was and who’s daddy’s mommy, who’s mommy’s daddy.
Then she asked me who my mommy was and I explained to her that she never met her because she passed away. Obviously, she didn’t understand what that meant.
It broke my heart when my daughter said since she hadn’t met her yet when she did, she was going to give her a big hug. All I could say was that she would love that.
That’s only one of the reasons I’m motivated and want to help make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. We joined in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk this October in San Francisco.
I have participated for the last ten years. My husband has walked with me for the last six years and this is my daughter’s third year.
Earlier this year, we lost a friend’s older sister was she taken by this awful disease. She was a mother herself and left behind six year old triplets!
As conscious business owners, we can and should use our resources to give back. I just learned the phrase “Cause Marketing” which is being used by big brands to incorporate social responsibility into their marketing efforts.
It’s defined as a “commercial activity by which businesses and charities or causes form a partnership with each other to market an image, product or service for mutual benefit”.
Think LIVESTRONG by Celebrity Cyclist Lance Armstrong who turned his public battle with cancer into a hip consumer brand with the aid of branded partners Nike and Hewlett-Packard.
The LIVESTRONG brand raises money for the Lance Armstrong foundation which inspires and empowers people affected by cancer.
There’s also ONE charity which is a new effort by Americans to rally Americans, one-by-one, to fight the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty.
ONE was founded by 11 of America’s most well-known and respected aid groups, including Save the Children US, World Concern, World Vision, and supported by many top celebrity heavy hitters including Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, Bill Gates and many more.
Another high profile example is RED which was created by U2 lead singer Bono to raise awareness and money for The Global Fund by teaming up with the world’s most iconic brands to produce co-branded products. A percentage of each RED co-branded product sold is given to The Global Fund which helps women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa.
There are thousands of noble, deserving projects to connect to your business. As a business owner, do you already support or would like to support a cause or charity that you can incorporate into your marketing efforts?
It doesn’t have to be design related. Another cause I support and want to get more involved with in the near future is Dress for Success which is an organization that provides interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development to low-income women.
I have a good friend and fellow Designer/Stager who has become very involved with the Raphael House in San Francisco which is dedicated to helping at-risk children and their families achieve stable housing and financial independence.
She has also been involved with redesigning the San Francisco Homeless Shelter and has received many accolades for her efforts.
Habitat for Humanity is a cause my husband has and perhaps many of you have also participated in. Habitat is a housing organization that builds simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need.
No matter what the cause, extending a helping hand always creates good will. Giving back to others and the community is such a great reward for all involved.
Please keep two things in mind to gain the most out of your greater good approach:
1. Identify a cause that fits your business.
The goal should be to align your business vision and brand values with a synergistic nonprofit cause or organization in order to create win-win marketing.
Your company will gain profile, and you’ll likely create stronger customer loyalty because your customers will feel good about buying your product.
This will create a clearer differentiation between you and your competitors that others will notice.
2. Choose a cause that means something to you.
There’s no point in supporting an issue you don’t really care about – people are bound to catch on.
Having a genuine passion or interest in the cause means you’ll stay engaged.
Go out and make a difference.
Supporting a non-profit provides awesome opportunities for fun, morale-boosting activities that give staff and customers the ‘feel-good factor’.

Home Reassessment Fraud
What is it about a sluggish economy that causes the vultures to circle, trying to profit from other people’s misfortune? I’m not talking about the opportunists who see money to be made from cleaning foreclosed homes, or scoring a good deal on an investment. I’m talking about con artists the likes of Bernard Madoff, and the current wave of scams directed at distressed homeowners. Recently, we’ve seen the “foreclosure rescue” scams, “short sale facilitation” scams, and “loan modification” scams. Now, the West Coast is experiencing a type of tax reassessment fraud, where companies, often posing as government agencies, request a fee for filing a tax assessment appeal.
Over 500,000 single family homes purchased between July 2003 and June 2008 will have their assessments reviewed. Once complete, the homeowners will be notified of the results and at that time if they disagree with the assessment, can file an application for review. There is no charge for this review.
According to the Los Angeles County Assessor’s website, “Various private companies are sending mailings to property owners offering their services to pursue a reduction in their property taxes. These companies may charge hundreds of dollars to file for a reduction in value on behalf of the property owner. Some companies are even imposing late fees if the application is received after an arbitrary deadline. Be aware that solicitations from private companies offering to pursue a reduction in property taxes must clearly indicate that they are NOT a government agency and that their services are NOT approved or endorsed by any government agency. Failure to provide such notice is a violation of California law. If you or someone you know receives an illegal solicitation, please contact the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer Affairs by phone at (800) 973-3370 or visit their dca.lacounty.gov/ website.”
This is a slick operation. Apparently, the letters are being sent from address identifying itself as Property Tax Reassessment, Tax Adjusters or Tax Review, on official looking paperwork. The address is a box number and the phone number goes to an answering service. They will provide a reassessment for a charge of $179 and a $30 penalty for any requests after Feb. 26, 2009. Unassuming recipients are sending in the fees promptly to avoid the costly penalty charge. Based on different reports, the costs vary from $95 to over $200.
There is nothing illegal about charging to complete a reassessment form, but these scammers are representing themselves as a government agency and implying that the homeowner has to pay to apply for a review.
Not limited to L.A. County, similar complaints are coming from the San Francisco and San Mateo County assessor’s office. At least half of the assessments that are reviewed are lowered due to declining property values, so it is well worth the effort to the homeowner to dispute the assessment. They can do this at no cost, by completing the Decline-In-Value form which is readily available (at assessor.lacounty.gov/extranet/guides/prop8.aspx )online or at one of the Assessor’s (assessor.lacounty.gov/extranet/contactus/districtOffice.aspx) District Offices. Generally, the review is based on comparable properties in the area and may require some research on the part of the homeowner. If they require assistance, all they need do is contact a local realtor specializing in their area, and the information will most likely be provided free of charge.

Can VOIP Technology-Voice Over Internet Protocol Globalize Your Home Business?
As you work your business on a daily basis, you are probably wondering how yo can expand the reach of your business. Usually this means you need to build up the infrastructure of your business and you will need to increase your marketing efforts. One of services we will recommend you look at is the unlikely voice over internet protocol or VOIP Technology.
To increase your business expansion capabilities one of the first things you probably have completed is to determine how your product or service meets the needs of a particular market. That market being in a defined area means the people and or prospective customers have a particular set of biases and familiar ways of doing business. This usually means that you have to do the first rule of sales which is meeting the customer on familiar terms.
One of the ways to establish a presence in a remote area is creating a local presence in your targeted area. This would mean acquiring physical office space and a local address, etc. However In this day of the internet moving real people and equipment may not make sense. As this type of office expansion move can be expensive or impossible to do for the solo business owner, a business owner needs to look at the latest VOIP technology called voice over internet protocol or VOIP.
.Available as voice over internet protocol or voice over cable generically termed broadband phone service; VOIP services are dramatically different from the traditional services of the past. A detailed explanation of VOIP is more then we can cover here but one of the primary advantages of using VoIP services is that you can order up additional services without needing a person deployed to install service. A second advantage is that you also don’t need regulatory body or local VOIP service provider to approve you entry into this remote area of your goals.
With VOIP you can obtain a local telephone number in almost any where because this type of mobility is allowed to occur no matter where you are because the VoIP adapter that you receive from the service provider is specially coded with your VoIP phone number. Alternately you cn also get a software driven type VOIP service right from your computer. Regardless of the type of service you get, this now means no matter where you go, your number goes with you.
Establishing business offices at multiple locations – VoIP Virtual Numbers allow multiple inbound telephone access numbers in different cities. With this feature, it is possible to establish your business in multiple locations by creating a “Virtual Presence” using virtual numbers.
These virtual numbers can be routed to any number that you specify. If you live in Chicago, you can have access numbers in New York, Houston and San Francisco all routing through to your number in Chicago.
With this feature, business addresses can be established in different cities and even countries. You can set up these virtual numbers based on the locations from where you expect to receive many phone calls.
Besides enhancing the image of your business, customers get the benefit of calling a local number which is less costly for them. You get to expand your business without physically entering a remote market and you do it at a low cost.
As you can see this is how to globalize a business and as you can see with VOIP software there are many possibilities when you take a different look at what seems to be a regular IOVC VOIP technology component. But as demonstrated, voice over internet protocol has many additional benefits including helping you globalize your business.
