Can Someone Explain The Parking Meter System In San Francisco?
I went to a baseball game at AT&T Park last Saturday. While trying to find a parking spot in the area, I saw hundreds of cars parked in metered spots, but the parking meters were all expired. I must be missing something here.
Is it legal to park in metered spots without paying after a certain time of day, or on Saturdays, or something like that? Could I have legally parked in a metered spot for several hours while I went to the game?
Also, some meters had yellow markings on top, and some had red markings. What’s the difference?
